PraiseTune is the app worship teams and church musicians use to manage lyrics, chords, collections and setlists in one place. It happens a lot while you’re playing: you’re on a song, you get unsure about how the next one in the setlist goes, you open it to check a chord or a section, and then you need to get back exactly to where you were, possibly searching for it again among dozens of songs in the collection. With PraiseTune 1.2 you don’t have to search for it anymore: every song you close stays one tap away.
How it works
When you close a song and go back to the collection’s list, a small pill appears at the bottom with the title of the last song you had open. Tap it to reopen it right away, exactly where you left it.
If you open and close other songs in the meantime to check them, PraiseTune keeps track of the last 10 (no duplicates): swipe the pill right to go back in history, left to move forward toward the most recent ones, with the same direction as the iPhone “back” gesture you already know.
You can also swipe up on the pill to reopen the song it’s currently showing, just like Apple Music’s player, or drag it down if you don’t need it anymore and want it gone.
Where you’ll find it (and where you won’t)
The pill appears in a collection’s song list, where it makes sense to want to quickly get back to what you were looking at. It doesn’t appear while you’re already inside a song: at that point, suggesting you reopen another one you just closed wouldn’t make sense.

If I reopen a song from the history, is it still there when I go back? Yes, the history stays available even after reopening a song: go back to the collection’s list and the pill is there again.
